A perfect last day

Yesterday we traveled to our last caravan campground of the trip in Saint John, New Brunswick. Steve and I had stayed at this campground on our way to Halifax at the beginning of the tour.

In the afternoon we all drove to a marina for a boat ride. This was to replace the whale watching trip that was cancelled in St. Anthony due to rough seas. First off, we had the whole boat to ourselves. It had an upper and lower  deck with lots of room to move around. There was a cash bar, too, with great Bloody Caesars.

The trip was 3 hours and we rode around Saint John River. The weather was perfect, there was no tour commentary, and they played great music. Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the views and being on the water.

When we were done, ten of us had dinner at the restaurant at the marina. Although the food was marginal, the setting was beautiful, there was live music, and the group had a great time together! It really was a perfect last day for us!

When we got back to the R.V., Penny and Tom stopped by to thank us for joining the tour and letting us know how much they enjoyed having us along. Too bad they never learned our names after a month!  Anyway, they gave us a dish towel and some pistachio cake that Penny had made.
It was a nice effort.
